Welcome to the District C newsletter! These first
eight months in office have been an amazing education
in participatory democracy. Every day my office fields
scores of phone calls on every subject from blighted
housing to special events permits to zoning issues
to pot holes to preservation issues to ... With at
least forty percent (40%) of the city's population,
District C has an enormous challenge to set a high
standard for a new New Orleans.
Through links found on this newsletter, you can also
gain access to the new District C website. The website
will provide information about District C staff contact
information, District C special events, Town Hall
meetings, legislative issues, helpful phone numbers
for City of New Orleans departments and agencies,
neighborhood association contact and meeting information,
and police advisory meetings.
Good government must be accountable, transparent,
efficient, and effective. Toward that end, I promised
during my campaign to develop a website that served
the District C community. I hope you find the information
in the new newsletter and website helpful and informative.
